Project Overview
Nestled in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic New Town district, this nursery refurbishment required a sensitive approach that balanced modern functionality with the character of its prestigious surroundings. We were commissioned to undertake a series of targeted improvements that would enhance both the children’s experience and the building’s operational efficiency. The scope of works included the creation of a brand-new WC facility specifically for the preschool room and the development of a dedicated dining area—two additions that would significantly improve the daily routine for both children and staff.
The project extended throughout the property, with comprehensive decoration refreshing the interior spaces and replacement flooring installed across the basement rooms to create bright, practical areas for learning and play. All base room sinks were replaced to ensure hygiene standards were maintained across the facility, whilst full exterior decoration to the rear of the property completed the transformation. Working within the constraints of a heritage area and an operational nursery environment, we delivered a sympathetic yet thorough refurbishment that respected the building’s location whilst meeting the exacting requirements of modern childcare provision.
